Ergonomics is recognized as onae of the most important factors in the workplace health and safety environment today. Poor posture is the underlying cause of many musculoskeletal disorders that we manage on a daily basis. If you are sitting at a workstation it is essential that it be adjusted to fit you. A worker required to work in a poorly designed ergonomic work space is destined to injury.

WORKSTATION / VDU / DSE / ASSESSENT

In-depth, one-to-one consultations to prevent or manage repetitive strain injuries (RSI) and identify factors causing inappropriate posture. Includes a scientifically designed RSI Survey, and adjusting the workstation set-up according to office ergonomics standards and each employee’s body size and job demands.

An assessment of your current workstation set up to identify any potential risk of injury. Adjustments may be required to the position of your keyboard, monitor, desk and chair to ensure optimum comfort.

SILVER

 

2 to 2 ½ hours*

Workers experiencing mild Discomfort
Workers with a Previous Injury
This assessment will focus on the physical demands of your job and length of time it takes to complete these tasks. To minimize the risk of injury, the consultant will make recommendations for suitable equipment (if needed). Advice on safe work practices is included in this assessment.

GOLD

 

2 ½ to 3 ½ hours*

Workers undergoing regular treatment of a diagnosed medical condition
Workers return to work post-surgery or injury
Workers who have a physical restriction
A comprehensive assessment carried out by a qualified allied health professional with the knowledge and experience in ergonomics and physical anatomy. Consideration is given to your tasks and duties, current symptoms and relevant past medical history. Recommendations regarding suitable equipment and advice on safe work practices are part of this assessment.

Home Office

 

2 ½ to 3 ½  hours*

Workers who regularly work from home
If you regularly undertake office work from home, this assessment will consist of two things; a safety inspection of your designated work area and either an Injury Prevention or a Comprehensive depending on your needs.

 

  • All the assessments are applicable for both sit/stand and conventional workstations.
  • Detailed reports for the above assessments are provided following completion. The report includes findings of the assessment, recommendations to reduce risk of injury and any suitable ergonomic equipment. For Silver package a short report is provided.
  • *Times listed above are indicative only and include travel time to and from the assessment, time the consultant is with you and the report writing.
